Panathinaikos Relying on Defense
Lack of aggression was the main reason behind Panathinaikos’ 82-76 defeat in Game 1, earning just five free throws in the entire match. Rebounding was also a major issue, with the Greens losing that battle 47-23.
Forcing 14 turnovers while committing just seven themselves put Panathinaikos in a strong position in Game 2, which they won 68-58 despite shooting only 41% from the field. Nigel Hayes-Davis finally delivered one of his best performances of the series, scoring 23 points and shooting 5/8 from beyond the arc.
