The most recent match at Dharamsala was three days ago when the Kings went down to the Delhi Capitals by three wickets with six balls to spare. The Kings posted a competitive score of 210/5 off their 20 overs but were unable to defend the score.

The Kings hit 13 sixes, with the Capitals replying with 11 sixes as a lower-order revival took them home for the win.

The pitch should once again provide a consistent and high-scoring surface, with some early help for the fast bowlers.
