The article outlines the anticipated dominance of Luke Littler, defending champion and world number one, in his fourth-round clash with Rob Cross at Ally Pally. Littler remains undefeated in the tournament, and odds suggest he should achieve a significant victory with handicap bets of -2.5 and -3.5 sets on the table. Historical performance and form indicate Littler is favored despite Cross's recent sprinkling of consistency. The analysis confidently suggests betting on a wide-margin victory for Littler, reaffirming his current top form.

Defending champion and world number one Luke Littler made quick work of Mensur Suljovic on Saturday and I'm expecting him to dominate this fourth round clash with Rob Cross too.

The Nuke is yet to drop a set at Ally Pally and I'm taking him in the handicap markets with -2.5 sets as a banker and a chance taken on him to cover -3.5.

Head to Head

These two have met on 16 previous occasions and Littler leads the head-to-head 13-3.

Cross did win the most recent meeting in the Players Championship in August, but he was comprehensively between 6-2 in the World Championship semi-finals in their only previous Ally Pally clash in 2024.

Luke Littler Form

Luke Littler's 2025 campaign has been impressive with the world number one dominating the sport.

Having won the World Championship at the start of the year, he added the Premier League, World Matchplay and Grand Slam to his dominant season of six titles in total.

Littler began is World Championship title defence with a bang, averaging 101 and hitting two ton-plus checkouts (124 and 120) in a whitewash of Darius Labanauskas.

He wasn't as fluent in the early part of his 3-0 second round victory over David Davies, but was eyecatching with a 107+ average as he thrashed Mensur Suljovic 4-0 in the third round.

Rob Cross Form

Rob Cross has had a turbulent season, winning the opening Players Championship event as well as the Dutch Darts Masters but struggling on the big stage.

The 2018 World Champion went into that Round 1 match against Cor Dekker without a win on tour since October, and had been beaten early in all of the televised tournaments this year.

But Ally Pally has been kind to Voltage, who recorded a comfortable 3-0 in his opening match before getting the better of Ian White with an average of 102 in the final set to complete a 3-1 second round victory.

In his third round clash with Damon Heta, Cross turned a coin-flip match into a one-sided affair as he won 4-0 to progress to the last 16.

Verdict

Cross has had a tough season and I don't expect him to trouble Littler, despite finding some consistency on the Ally Pally stage.

Littler won 6-2 here in the semi-final two years ago on what was his World Championship debut and I like the handicap plays for another wide-margin victory for The Nuke.
