Head to Head
Ratajski holds a 4-1 head to head advantage over Woodhouse, including win the most recent meeting in the Players Championship in February this year.
Luke Woodhouse Form
Luke Woodhouse is in the form of his life and has reached the last 16 of the World Championship for the second consecutive year.
Woody looks far more comfortable on the Ally Pally stage this year, however, as shown in his 4-1 demolition of Andrew Gilding in the third round.
After a slow start, he averaged over 103 in the final three sets to send Gilding packing.
Woodhouse started this year's campaign with a 3-1 victory over Boris Krcmar in the first round and then dominted Max Hopp 3-0 in the second round.
Krzysztof Ratajski Form
Krzysztof Ratajski's run to the last 16 has been defined by character with The Polish Eagle having to dig deep at Ally Pally.
After slipping out of the world's top 32 due to health issues, the Pole kicked off his World Championship run with a 3-0 victory over Alexis Toylo including a 170 checkout.
He defeated Ryan Joyce in straight sets in the second round before playing his part in one of the matches of the tournament in the third round.
Ratajski trailed Wesley Plaisier 3-1 and looked to be packing his bag, but he clawed his way back to win 4-3, including surviving match darts and holding his nerve in the decider.
Verdict
Bookmakers have Krzysztof Ratajski as a slight favourite, but the form book points towards Luke Woodhouse.
Woodhouse's performance against Gilding in the last round was of a standard that can see him into the quarter-finals should be repeat that effort. I think his heavier scoring will eventually break the Polish resistance.
