Anyone’s Legend are viewed as firm favourites to defeat EDward Gaming on Friday, and it is hard to argue with that as this is essentially a Group Nirvana vs Group Ascend clash.
However, even though AL have managed to win three games out of four played, they haven’t really shown much, or better said, they’ve had it easier than it may seem.

Anyone’s Legend Are Ramping Up
Anyone’s Legend are 3-1 this split, with one loss against Bilibili Gaming and wins against JD Gaming, LGD Gaming, and Top Esports, who AL crushed 2-0 on Wednesday.
That success can be taken with a grain of salt, though. The win against JD Gaming was a fiesta, LGD Gaming are a weak team, Bilibili Gaming are still iffy due to the recent roster changes, and Top Esports looked terrible.
While this suggests AL have more to prove, they have not looked terrible – the big question is for how long can Anyone’s Legend keep this up, as it has happened many times before that AL look progressively better and then they suddenly turn into a pumpkin.
On a more positive note, Anyone’s Legend are getting it done, and Tarzan is in exceptional shape.

EDward Gaming continue to disappoint, and it is becoming increasingly clear that they do not have the tools needed to challenge teams in Group Ascend.
Their first three matches of Split 3 ended in tough losses against LGD Gaming, Bilibili Gaming, and ThunderTalk Gaming. While EDG took a map off BLG, the defending champions are still finding traction following the roster changes, so even that success proves very little.
In their defence, EDG have had some good maps. The issue is that EDward Gaming seem to either be very good or very bad, and they rarely find themselves somewhere in between. That, however, makes them dangerous outsiders.

EDward Gaming haven’t found much success this split and have yet to prove they can properly challenge stronger LPL teams. They are known to have good and bad games, making EDG dangerous underdogs, but even with that in mind, they’re a hard sell to defeat Anyone’s Legend.
I’m not quite sold on AL just yet, mainly because they’re known to turn into a pumpkin. But they’ve been getting it done so far and are in great shape.
