Scheduled to kick off on Tuesday, May 26, the BLAST Slam VII is the continuation of the BLAST Slam series and the second BLAST event of the year.
The tournament will return to Copenhagen, Denmark, for the first time since 2025, once again featuring 12 world-class Dota 2 rosters, who will battle it out for the largest slice of the US$1,000,000 prize pool and the coveted trophy.
In attendance are many of the world’s heavyweights, including Tundra Esports, BetBoom Team, Team Liquid, Team Falcons, PARIVISION, Aurora Gaming, and Team Spirit, who are all considered serious title contenders.
However, while the BLAST Slam VII field is incredibly stacked, the top-rated bookmakers have drawn a clear line between the teams more likely to hoist the trophy and the rest.
While the pre-tournament projections favour the likes of Tundra and BetBoom Team to go all the way, history has taught us that BLAST Slam events are filled with upsets and unexpected results, suggesting a surprise winner is not unlikely.

BLAST Slam VII Favourites
BLAST Slam VII features 12 Dota 2 teams, many of whom are considered more than capable of making a run for the trophy.
However, among all the participants, Tundra Esports stand out as the team to beat.
Tundra have won two big events this season, which include DreamLeague Season 28 and ESL One Birmingham in March. While they’ve not placed higher than top-six in the four events, Tundra still left a positive mark at DreamLeague Season 29, proving themselves as one of the most consistent elite Dota 2 squads in the world.
BetBoom Team are close behind in the power rankings. With just one tournament title this season, the BB Team do not appear as dangerous; however, their sole trophy run came in April, when BetBoom Team won PGL Wallachia Season 8.
Prior to the PGL Wallachia title run, BB Team also placed third in PGL Wallachia Season 7, having now placed top-three in two out of four Tier-1 events attended.
Further down the line of the list of favourites sit Team Falcons and Team Liquid, both of whom have made serious noise this season. Falcons, in particular, have looked solid of late, with a bronze medal from PGL Wallachia Season 8 and a fourth-place finish from DreamLeague Season 29.
Team Liquid, on the other side, finished PGL Wallachia Season 8 in fourth place, and while their DreamLeague Season 29 run wasn’t as fruitful, they’ve previously placed second in Wallachia Season 7, third in DreamLeague Season 28, and they won BLAST Slam VI.
