Magic vs K27 Tips – Magic Can Handle K27 in IEM Beijing 2026 Global Qualifier
Magic are set to face K27 in the IEM Beijing 2026 Global Qualifiers for their fourth encounter this season. With Magic holding three consecutive wins over K27 and displaying solid results against top CS2 teams recently, they are considered clear favorites. K27, meanwhile, have struggled throughout recent tournaments, recording few wins and showing little improvement in form. Unless there is a major upset, all signs point to a decisive win for Magic in this crucial qualifier.

For K27, this will be their fourth chance to defeat magic and secure the first head-to-head victory of 2026, but this will be easier said than done.
While neither team is considered to be one of the elite in the Counter-Strike 2 scene, magic have looked much better of late, posting promising results against some of the world’s highest-rated squads.
K27, on the other hand, have been largely mediocre in their more recent competitive endeavours, failing to find much success in both smaller and some bigger events. Results like that inspire little confidence that K27 can cook up an upset this week.
- K27 are in rough shape
- Magic have been showing pulse
- This is magic’s game to lose
Magic Have Yet to Lose to K27
Magic have met with K27 three times this season and won all three clashes.

Magic Are Showing Good Form
Magic have not been too bad across the last few months. In May, they placed fourth at PGL Astana, then second at Stake Ranked Episode 2, and they reached the semifinals of RES Showdown Europe Fall.
Things haven’t been as fruitful during the BLAST Bounty Summer (17th-32nd) and the Esports World Cup, where magic crashed out in ninth-16th place, following a 1-2 loss against the eventual finalists, FUT Esports.
While magic have not managed to produce memorable tournament placements in bigger events, they have been playing well. Magic are 6-3 from their last nine games, which includes wins against Ninjas in Pyjamas, 3DMAX, 9z Team, and Gentle Mates, as well as a close defeat against FUT Esports and The MongolZ.
Magic have been playing well for their standards, and while they are not among the top candidates to make it through the qualifiers, their recent performances against stronger teams are inspiring.

K27 Have Been Struggling
K27 enter the IEM Beijing Global Qualifiers hoping to improve the impression they’ve left in recent months, having failed to find any meaningful success in their competitive endeavours.
Since placing second in Stake Ranked Episode 3 in July, K27 have been in rough shape, with early eliminations from StarLadder StarSeries Fall European Qualifier (13th-16th), CCT Europe Series #5 (ninith-16th), the Esports World Cup (25th-32nd), and more recently, Moscow Cyber Games European Qualifier (ninth-11th).
With just two wins from their last seven games, K27’s form is clearly lacking. Their record becomes even more worrying considering they’ve not faced many good teams over that stretch, and they’ve recently lost against HOTU, ex-RUBY, and Nuclear TigeRES.
| Date | Event | Opponent | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| August 30 | Moscow Cyber Games 26 EU Qualifiers | Nuclear TigRES | 0-2 (L) |
| August 29 | Moscow Cyber Games 26 EU Qualifiers | ex-RUBY | 1-2 (L) |
| August 26 | Moscow Cyber Games 26 EU Qualifiers | HOTU | 0-2 (L) |
| August 25 | Moscow Cyber Games 26 EU Qualifiers | SPARTA | 2-1 (W) |
| August 23 | Moscow Cyber Games 26 EU Qualifiers | Rune Eaters Esports | 2-0 (W) |

Verdict
K27 are among the weakest teams attending the event and are definitely one of the most out-of-shape squads in attendance. Magic haven’t been amazing lately, but they have been punching above their weight and have produced some memorable results even when faced with stronger opponents.
Having shown the ability to perform at the highest level and in solid form, magic should be considered favourites for this match, as there is little to suggest K27 can properly challenge them.
Barring any major surprises, magic should sweep.
