Magic Are Showing Good Form
Magic have not been too bad across the last few months. In May, they placed fourth at PGL Astana, then second at Stake Ranked Episode 2, and they reached the semifinals of RES Showdown Europe Fall.
Things haven’t been as fruitful during the BLAST Bounty Summer (17th-32nd) and the Esports World Cup, where magic crashed out in ninth-16th place, following a 1-2 loss against the eventual finalists, FUT Esports.
While magic have not managed to produce memorable tournament placements in bigger events, they have been playing well. Magic are 6-3 from their last nine games, which includes wins against Ninjas in Pyjamas, 3DMAX, 9z Team, and Gentle Mates, as well as a close defeat against FUT Esports and The MongolZ.
Magic have been playing well for their standards, and while they are not among the top candidates to make it through the qualifiers, their recent performances against stronger teams are inspiring.

K27 enter the IEM Beijing Global Qualifiers hoping to improve the impression they’ve left in recent months, having failed to find any meaningful success in their competitive endeavours.
Since placing second in Stake Ranked Episode 3 in July, K27 have been in rough shape, with early eliminations from StarLadder StarSeries Fall European Qualifier (13th-16th), CCT Europe Series #5 (ninith-16th), the Esports World Cup (25th-32nd), and more recently, Moscow Cyber Games European Qualifier (ninth-11th).
With just two wins from their last seven games, K27’s form is clearly lacking. Their record becomes even more worrying considering they’ve not faced many good teams over that stretch, and they’ve recently lost against HOTU, ex-RUBY, and Nuclear TigeRES.
