UEFA Champions League Quarter-Finals & Winner Odds - Heavyweights Collide as Road to the Final Becomes Clearer
The 2025/26 UEFA Champions League has reached the quarter-final stage, bringing exciting fixtures, including Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich and PSG vs Liverpool. While Real Madrid remains a force, Bayern Munich is favored to advance, fresh off an impressive win over Atalanta. Arsenal hopes to avoid a setback against Sporting CP, despite entering as favorites. Meanwhile, Barcelona is expected to progress past Atlético Madrid, having outclassed Newcastle earlier. Defending champions PSG look poised for success, especially against a struggling Liverpool. In a lopsided bracket, traditional heavyweights vie for a spot in the Budapest final.
- The UEFA Champions League quarter-finals kick off this week
- Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Barcelona are all expected to advance
- PSG are the defending champions and well placed to reach the semis
The 2025/26 UEFA Champions League has reached the quarter-finals with the final in Budapest’s Puskás Aréna now firmly in sight.
The path to the final is clear, leaving fans and bettors scrambling to identify where the value lies in the winner's market.
Real Madrid enters this tie with psychological momentum after dispatching Manchester City in the Round of 16.
They face a Bayern Munich side that have been a juggernaut under Vincent Kompany, fresh off a 10-2 aggregate demolition of Atalanta.
The Key Battle: Harry Kane’s clinical finishing against a Real Madrid backline that have occasionally looked vulnerable could be where the tie is won and lost.
Expert View: Bayern Munich have scored 3+ goals in seven of their previous eight games and are deserved favourites to progress, but never count out Los Blancos in the Champions League.
Sporting CP vs Arsenal
Sporting pulled off a miraculous turnaround against Bodo/Glimt and have a formidable home record.
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are the favourites but are coming off back to back defeats for the first time this season.
The Key Battle: Luis Suarez replaced Viktor Gyökeres and has got it done, scoring 33 goals in 40 appearances for Sporting. Gyökeres returns to his former club in a straight shootout with his protégé.
Expert View: Arsenal are heavy favourites to reach the semi-finals with Sporting 50/1 tournament outsiders. The first leg in Lisbon is a potential banana skin for the Gunners.
An all-Spanish affair that promises tactical football. Barcelona demolished Newcastle 7-2 in the previous round, showcasing an attack led by Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski.
Diego Simeone’s Atlético have already dented Barca's ambitions this season, knocking them out of the Copa del Rey.
The Key Battle: The flair of Barcelona’s youth against the legendary defensive organisation of the Colchoneros.
Expert View: Barcelona are expected to advance but Atlético have proven they can match the Catalan club.
PSG are the defending champions and come into the first leg on a four game winning streak, scoring an impressive 15 goals.
Liverpool come into the tie low on confidence after a 4-0 defeat at Manchester City in the FA Cup.
The Key Battle: Confidence is key and there is no doubt the Parisians come into the tie in a confident mood. The same can't be said for Arne Slot and the Reds.
Expert View: This is the closest tie on paper but PSG at 6.00 to win the title shows the market still fears the holders.
The Path to the Final
The bracket is notably lopsided with one side housing the traditional heavyweights and the other offering a clearer path for the English and Spanish giants.
The winner of PSG vs Liverpool face the winner of Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich. The other side sees the winner of Barcelona vs Atlético Madrid taking on the winner of Sporting CP vs Arsenal.
2025/26 UEFA Champions League Winner Betting Odds
Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Barcelona remain the favourites with PSG and Real Madrid firming after the round of 16. Liverpool, Atletico Madrid and Sporting CP remain unfancied by the bookmakers.

Verdict
Real Madrid are always a danger and I don't think Arsenal will have it all their own way. Atletico Madrid have proved they can match Barcelona but I don't think Liverpool are going to stop PSG.
That means my money is on the defending champions, the Parisians to become the first time to defend their title after Real Madrid won in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
