Brentford vs Fulham Tips & Predictions - Igor Thiago to Score in the Premier League

Brentford and Fulham gear up for a Premier League encounter marked by recent struggles for wins. Brentford has seen five consecutive draws, bolstered by Igor Thiago's scoring prowess at home. Currently 7th on the table, Keith Andrews’ team faces Fulham, who sit 12th, and exhibit patchy form. Fulham recently ended a goalless run with a win against Burnley but succumbed to Liverpool's pressure in a 2-0 defeat. Thus, a draw appears likely, with Thiago's goalscoring form offering good value in betting markets.

Fulham have a 26-25 advantage against Brentford, alongside 18 draws.

Brentford on a Roll With Draws

Keith Andrews’ Brentford have drawn eight Premier League games this season. Five of those stalemates have come during their last seven league fixtures.

The Bees have drawn five consecutive games in all competitions, including two at the Gtech. The London side gave up a 2-0 lead in a 2-2 home draw with Wolves, where Thiago found the net.

Another 2-2 home draw followed against Everton on Saturday. Brentford had 2.84 XG and Igor Thiago's brace wasn’t enough to secure victory.

Fulham Are in Patchy Form

Fulham are 12th in the Premier League table and have struggled to break into the top half this season. The West Londoners have won once in their last five in all competitions.

Marco Silva’s outfit were winless in three consecutive matches. Back-to-back 1-0 losses against West Ham and Southampton were followed by a goalless draw at Nottingham Forest.

The Cottagers ended that streak with a 3-1 home win over relegation-threatened Burnley. Fulham had 3.15-1.24 XG and 22 shots in that victory.

Silva’s side continued their inconsistent recent form with a 2-0 loss at Liverpool. Fulham were 2-0 down at half time and couldn’t reply with 19 shots and 1.04 XG.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Brentford (4-2-3-1): Caoimhin Kelleher; Michael Kayode, Sepp van den Berg, Nathan Collins, Keane Lewis-Potter; Yehor Yarmolyuk, Mathias Jensen; Dango Ouattara, Mikkel Damsgaard, Kevin Schade; Igor Thiago

Forward Fabio Carvalho and defenders Antoni Milambo and Rico Henry are injured.

Midfield trio Josh Dasilva, Jordan Henderson and Vitaly Janelt are also sidelined due to injury.

Defender Aaron Hickey and midfielder Mikkel Damsgaard could return to the squad against Fulham.

Keith Andrews confirmed that Damsgaard had an illness for the Everton game and said, “Dams wasn't well. It was a risk playing him - he had disrupted sleep - and that affected our energy.”

Fulham (4-2-3-1): Bernd Leno; Timothy Castagne, Joachim Andersen, Calvin Bassey, Antonee Robinson; Sander Berge, Alex Iwobi; Harry Wilson, Joshua King, Oscar Bobb; Rodrigo Muniz

Defender Kenny Tete has a foot injury and won’t feature. Attacker Kevin and midfielder Harrison Reed are also ruled out due to injury.

Verdict

Brentford and Fulham have struggled for wins recently. Neither side looks convincing and Igor Thiago can score again in a Premier League draw.
