The Premier League clash between Brentford and Wolves promises to be a high-scoring affair. Brentford, currently 7th in the league, have struggled defensively but maintain a potent attack. Wolves, although last on the table, have shown offensive improvement, winning key recent matches. Recent form indicates plenty of goals on both sides, with teams frequently witnessing over 2.5 goals in their games. The match's dynamics suggest a likelihood for both teams to score and potentially exceed 3.5 total goals.

Wolves have a 17-15 advantage against Brentford, alongside six draws.

Brentford Are High Scoring

Brentford have seen a lot of goals at both ends of the pitch recently. Keith Andrews’ side have scored five and conceded six across their last three matches.

The Bees have struggled to keep the goals out at home recently and have conceded in each of their last three at the Gtech. The West Londoners lost 2-0 against Brighton in their most recent home game and faced seven shots on target.

Andrews’ outfit followed that loss with a 4-3 win at Burnley and a goalless draw against Bournemouth.

Brentford played out a 2-2 draw with West Ham in the FA Cup before losing on penalties. Igor Thiago scored twice and the Bees had 3.02 XG and 17 shots.

Wolves Improving Up Front

Bottom of the table Wolves have shown some improvement lately and are undefeated in five of their last seven.

The Old Gold won back-to-back Premier League games for the first time this season. They beat Aston Villa 2-0 and Liverpool 2-1 at home in their last two league matches.

Rob Edwards' side couldn’t add to their winning streak and lost 3-1 at home against Liverpool in the FA Cup. Wanderers allowed 1.91 XG and were 3-0 down before Hwang Hee-Chan scored a 91st-minute consolation goal.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Brentford (4-2-3-1): Caoimhin Kelleher; Michael Kayode, Kristoffer Ajer, Sepp van den Berg, Keane Lewis-Potter; Jordan Henderson, Mathias Jensen; Dango Ouattara, Mikkel Damsgaard, Kevin Schade; Igor Thiago

Forward Fabio Carvalho and midfield duo Vitaly Janelt and Josh Dasilva are unavailable due to injury. Defenders Antoni Milambo, Rico Henry and Aaron Hickey are also injured.

Reiss Nelson could return to the squad following a recent calf issue. Keith Andrews was positive on the attacker’s recovery and said, "Reiss Nelson is going to be part of the [training] group tomorrow.

“It'll be similar to last week: we'll see how it goes and then make a decision on his involvement.”

Wolves (3-4-2-1): Jose Sa; Yerson Mosquera, Santiago Bueno, Ladislav Krejci; Jackson Tchatchoua, Joao Gomes, Andre, Hugo Bueno; Toti Gomes, Hwang Hee-Chan; Adam Armstrong

Winger Enso Gonzalez is ruled out with a knee problem.

Jose Sa should be in contention after sustaining an ankle injury. Rob Edwards provided a positive update on the goalkeeper ahead of the Brentford game and said, "He's still sore but he's been able to do some light training, so we're really hopeful he'll be available."

Verdict

Brentford are a high-scoring side that struggles to keep the goals out. Wolves also score and concede a lot and goals are likely in the Premier League.
