Liverpool Looking Strong at Anfield

Liverpool have kept chase with the Premier League’s top four due to their strong recent home form. Arne Slot’s side are unbeaten in seven of their last eight league games at Anfield, winning four.

The Reds have won two consecutive home games, comfortably beating Brighton 3-0 and West Ham 5-2. Liverpool had 31 total shots and over 1.84 XG in those two victories.

The Merseysiders followed the West Ham triumph with a 2-1 league loss at Wolves. Slot’s team hit back by beating Wolves 3-1 in the FA Cup.

Liverpool couldn’t build on that win and lost 1-0 at Galatasaray in the Champions League. The Reds conceded after seven minutes and couldn’t score with 1.31 XG.

Tottenham Struggling to Defend

Tottenham are just one point above the Premier League’s relegation zone. Spurs are winless in 11 consecutive league fixtures and have conceded 25 goals.

Igor Tudor has lost all five matches at Tottenham after replacing Thomas Frank in February. The North Londoners have seen 22 total goals under Turdor and BTTS has occurred in all five games.

Spurs’ problems continued on Tuesday after a 5-2 loss at Atletico Madrid. Tottenham allowed 2.59 XG, trailed 4-0 after 22 minutes and Pedro Porro and Dominic Solanke scored consolation goals.

"We are training today as you know, so let's see if he can join the team session today. That is something I expect but I'm not 100 per cent sure yet because I haven't spoken to him or the medical staff this morning yet."

Cristian Romero and Joao Palhinha are injury doubts after clashing heads in the Atletico game. Igor Tudor was unsure about the duo’s fitness ahead of the Liverpool game and said, “I don't know, we will see. I don't know.”

“It is incredible,” he continued. “We finished the game and we see the two players [come off] and there is Micky [Van de Ven], who is out with a red card [for the trip to Anfield]."
