H2H - Gunners Dominate

Arsenal have a 19-8 advantage against Brighton, alongside seven draws.

Brighton in Patchy Form

Brighton have dropped into the Premier League’s bottom half following a drop off in recent form. The south coast side are winless in six of their last eight league matches.

The Seagulls were on a three-match losing streak without scoring. They lost 1-0 to Crystal Palace and Aston Villa and 3-0 at Liverpool, attempting -1 XG in two matches.

Fabian Hurzeler’s team ended that losing run with a 2-0 victory at Brentford, where they allowed 1.6 XG.

Brighton also beat struggling Nottingham Forest 2-1 at home on Sunday. Diego Gomez scored first and Forest equalised before Danny Welbeck scored the winner.

Arsenal on the EPL Title March

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are top of the Premier League with a five-point advantage over Man City. The North Londoners have lost once all season and won a league high of 19 games.

Arsenal have the Premier League’s best away record, taking 29 points. The Gunners also have the best XG on the road, attempting 1.62 XG on average in 15 away games.

Arteta’s outfit have won their last two matches, including a big 4-1 triumph at Tottenham in the North London derby.

The Gunners followed that rivalry win with a 2-1 home victory against Chelsea. Arsenal had 12 shots, 1.09 XG and William Saliba and Jurrien Timber scored in each half.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Brighton (4-2-3-1): Bart Verbruggen; Mats Wieffer, Jan Paul van Hecke, Lewis Dunk, Ferdi Kadioglu; Jack Hinshelwood, James Milner, Pascal Gross; Diego Gomez, Danny Welbeck, Karou Mitoma

Midfielder Yasin Ayari is doubtful as he recovers from a shoulder injury.

Striker Stefanos Tzimas is ruled out with an ACL injury. Defender Adam Webster is unavailable due to a knee issue.

Arsenal (4-3-3): David Raya; Jurrien Timber, William Saliba, Gabriel, Piero Hincapie; Eberchi Eze, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard; Bukayo Saka, Viktor Gyokeres, Leandro Trossard

Defender Ben White is an injury doubt. Midfield duo Martin Odegaard and Mikel Merino won’t feature due to injury.

Declan Rice will face a late fitness test to feature against Brighton. Mikel Arteta provided an update on the midfielder following his late withdrawal against Chelsea and said, “Declan has to be substituted so he's going to have to get checked and see if he's available for Wednesday, unfortunately.”

Verdict

Brighton aren’t in convincing form and Arsenal don’t lose many Premier League games. The Gunners have had confidence-boosting wins recently and can seal another victory towards their title challenge.
