Liverpool is set to face Newcastle in an upcoming Premier League clash at Anfield. Recent performances suggest that Liverpool, who have maintained a strong form, are in a prime position to take advantage of Newcastle's apparent fatigue. Newcastle, having shown signs of weariness in recent games, might struggle to keep up the pace. As Liverpool aims to capitalize on this opportunity, a victory seems favorable for them. Analysts are particularly optimistic about Liverpool's chances, recommending a favorable outlook towards a win.

H2H - Liverpool on Top

Liverpool have a 95-51 advantage against Newcastle, alongside 45 draws.

Liverpool Building Form at Home

Arne Slot’s Liverpool are sixth in the Premier League and two points outside the top four. The Merseyside team are unbeaten in 14 of their last 15 in all competitions, winning eight.

The Reds have won two of their last three at home, including a 4-1 cup win over Barnsley. Liverpool followed that result with a 1-1 draw with Burnley, a 3-0 win in Marseille and a 3-2 loss at Bournemouth.

Slot’s side recovered and beat Qarabag 6-0 at Anfield in the Champions League. Alexis MacAllister, Florian Wirtz, Mohamed Salah, Hugo Ekitike and Federico Chiesa scored in the one-sided win.

Newcastle Struggle Away in the EPL

Newcastle have struggled away all season in the Premier League, winning just two of 11 games on the road.

The Toon are in patchy recent form and winless in five of their previous six. Eddie Howe’s side failed to win in three before a 3-0 win against PSV and a 2-0 home loss to Aston Villa.

The North East side drew 1-1 at PSG in the Champions League on Wednesday. Newcastle allowed 2.52XG, conceded after eight minutes and Joe Willock equalised before half time.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Liverpool (4-3-3): Alisson; Wataru Endo, Ryan Gravenberch, Virgil van Dijk, Milos Kerkez; Florian Wirtz, Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai; Mohamed Salah, Hugo Ekitike, Cody Gakpo

Centre-back Ibrahima Konate is on compassionate leave until February. Striker Alexander Isak has a broken leg and defenders Conor Bradley, Giovanni Leoni and Joe Gomez are injured.

Jeremie Frimpong came off with a thigh issue against Qarabag. Arne Slot was cautious about the defender’s condition and said, “If you have a problem and have to go off like that, that usually tells you straight away. Let's wait and see what the upcoming days can bring.”

Newcastle (4-3-3): Nick Pope; Kieran Trippier, Malick Thiaw, Dan Burn, Lewis Hall; Bruno Guimaraes, Jacob Ramsey, Sandro Tonali; Harvey Barnes, Yoane Wissa, Anthony Gordon

Midfielder Joelinton and attacker Jacob Murphy are injured. Defensive trio Emil Krafth, Tino Livramento and Fabian Schar are also unavailable due to injury.

Verdict

Liverpool will want to maintain their strong form at Anfield. Newcastle looked fatigued late in their game on Wednesday and the Reds can win in the Premier League.
