H2H - Forest Dominate

Nottingham Forest have a 30-16 advantage against Crystal Palace, alongside 24 draws.

Nottingham Forest Building Momentum

Sean Dyche’s Nottingham Forest are 17th in the Premier League. The Tricky Trees have moved five points clear of the bottom three after a three-match unbeaten run.

Forest began their upturn in form with a goalless home draw against league leaders Arsenal. The Midlands side followed that result with a 2-0 away victory at Brentford.

Dyche’s outfit sealed consecutive wins for the first time since December by thrashing Ferencvaros 4-0 at home. Forest led through an own goal before Igor Jesus struck twice and James McAtee scored a late penalty.

Crystal Palace Struggling in the EPL

Crystal Palace have fallen to 15th place in the Premier League after an eight-match winless streak, including six defeats. No team has a worse recent record in the division.

The Eagles' most recent point came from a 0-0 home draw against Aston Villa. Three consecutive defeats followed, including a 2-1 FA Cup loss at Macclesfield and a 2-1 league defeat at Sunderland.

Oliver Glasner’s side lost 3-1 at home to Chelsea on Sunday. Palace allowed 1.32XG, conceded three and Chris Richards scored a late consolation.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Nottingham Forest (4-2-3-1): Matz Sels; Ola Aina, Nikola Milenkovic, Murillo, Neco Williams; Ibrahima Sangare, Elliot Anderson; Callum Hudson-Odoi, Morgan Gibbs-White, Nicolas Domínguez; Igor Jesus

Goalkeeper John Victor and striker Chris Wood are ruled out with long-term injuries.

Nicolo Savona is also ruled out following a recent knee issue. Sean Dyche confirmed the defender’s unavailability and said, “Sav has got a knee situation we are having looked at. He's unlikely to be figuring, I think.”

Crystal Palace (3-4-2-1): Dean Henderson; Jaydee Canvot, Maxence Lacroix, Chris Richards; Daniel Munoz, Will  Hughes, Jefferson Lerma, Tyrick Mitchell; Ismaila Sarr, Brennan Johnson; Christantus Uche

Midfielder Adam Wharton is suspended and Nathaniel Clyne is likely to return following a groin issue. Striker Eddie Nketiah and midfield duo Daichi Kamada and Cheick Doucoure are unavailable due to injury.

Oliver Glanser ruled Jean-Philippe Mateta out of the Forest game and said, “I can confirm that JP will not be in the matchday squad. It’s nothing to do with the transfers - he’s not in the right place to play. It makes no sense.”

Verdict

Nottingham Forest will want to maintain their winning momentum and claw away from the relegation zone. Palace lose a lot, are lacking confidence and Forest can take advantage with a home victory.
