Arizona Cardinals 1-1 Following First Loss

Arizona head out on the road for the second time this season looking to rebound from a first loss that dropped them to 1-1.

The Cardinals enjoyed a winning start to the season as they downed the Los Angeles Chargers on the road, 26-14, but they were brought back down to Earth last weekend.

They managed just one touchdown all game as they were beaten 31-7 at NFC West rivals Seattle – who had a backup quarterback running the offense.

Arizona quarterback Jacoby Brissett went 17/28 for just 95 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

On a bad day for the offense, Tre McBride led the receivers with 41 yards and a score, while Jeremiyah Love was the lead rusher with only 29 yards.

San Francisco 49ers Opened With Back-To-Back Wins

San Francisco go into Sunday’s matchup having followed up the victory in Australia with success in their home opener.

The 49ers travelled to Melbourne as underdogs for a meeting with the Los Angeles Rams, but they made the long trip worthwhile with a 27-7 rout of their NFC West rivals.

They then followed up that victory last weekend, as they downed Miami 35-13 to improve to 2-0.

Quarterback Brock Purdy was a very impressive 20/22 for 287 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 30 yards and a score.

Christian McCaffrey contributed 66 total yards, while George Kittle put up 80 yards and a touchdown.

Arizona came crashing back down to Earth last Sunday, and it is unlikely to get any better for them here.
