They then blew out Grambling State 70-0 and beat Ohio 37-9, before kicking of their Big Ten schedule with a 24-6 win at Washington.

Ohio State then blew out Minnesota 42-3 at home, before heading out on the road to down Illinois 34-16 and Wisconsin 34-0.

The Buckeyes then beat Penn State 38-14 at home and Purdue 34-10 on the road, before returning to the Shoe to down UCLA 48-10 and Rutgers 42-9.

Michigan go into this grudge match with Ohio State having rebounded from the defeat at USC with five straight wins to improve to 9-2.

The Wolverines opened the season with a 34-17 win over New Mexico, only to suffer a 24-13 defeat when they visited Oklahoma a week later.

They responded with a 63-3 demolition of Central Michigan, and then opened their Big Ten slate with a 30-27 win at Nebraska and a 24-10 victory at home to Wisconsin.

Michigan’ failed to make it three-in-a-row in conference action as they lost 31-13 at USC, but they did rebound quickly with a 24-7 win over Washington that sparked this five-game run.

The Wolverines have beaten Michigan State 31-20, Purdue 21-16, Northwestern 24-22 and Maryland 45-20 during this run.
