Pittsburgh head to Miami having dropped back-to-back conference games to fall to 5-2 on the season.

The Panthers opened up the campaign with a couple of wins over non-conference opposition, beating Miami OH 59-14 and UCF 12-7.

They then kicked off their ACC with a 27-13 victory over Syracuse, before shutting out Bucknell in a 59-0 non-conference success.

Pittsburgh returned to ACC action after that and downed Virginia Tech on the road, 35-33, but they have not won since.

The Panthers’ first defeat of the season came as they fell 21-17 to North Carolina, and that was followed by a 27-21 loss at Boston College last weekend.

Miami FL Boast Perfect 6-0 Record

Miami enter this matchup as the number one ranked team in the nation, having improved to 6-0 last weekend.

The Hurricanes kicked off the season with a conference matchup on the road, and they made a strong start as they downed Stanford 45-6.

They backed that up with a 77-7 demolition of Florida A&M in a non-conference games, before returning to ACC duty with a 33-20 victory at Wake Forest.

Miami followed that up with a 52-3 blowout of Central Michigan, and then took their record to 6-0 with back-to-back wins over ACC opposition.

The Hurricanes dominated Clemson in a 41-13 victory on the road, and then fended off bitter rivals Florida State in overtime, 43-35.

Miami had a major scare last weekend, but we are not expecting similar drama at Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday.

The Hurricanes’ offense can have its way with this Panthers defense, piling up the points as they pull away on the scoreboard to win and cover the spread.
