The Rebels kicked off the campaign with a thrilling 41-38 win over Louisville, and backed that up by blowing out Charlotte, 41-9.

They then kicked off their SEC schedule in the best possible fashion, beating former coach Lane Kiffin’s LSU team 32-24.

Ole Miss were brought back down to Earth a week later, as they were blown out on the road by Florida, 52-28.

However, the Rebels have responded to that loss in emphatic fashion, following up a 52-17 demolition of Vanderbilt with a 31-3 rout of Missouri.

Texas 4-2 Following Back-To-Back Defeats

Texas enter this matchup in desperate need of a win, having lost back-to-back games to fall to 4-2.

The Longhorns opened with a 59-7 blowout of Texas State, and then made a statement as they beat an Ohio State team ranked number one in the nation, 24-23.

They made it three-in-a-row a week later as they downed UTSA 30-6, and kicked off their SEC slate with a 20-17 victory at Tennessee.

However, the wheels have come off since then, and Texas now go into this matchup having lost consecutive games.

The Longhorns were upset 27-24 by Oklahoma in the latest Red River Rivalry game, and then suffered a 27-24 defeat when they hosted Florida last weekend.

Texas are reeling and pressure is mounting on Arch Manning, whose days as the Longhorns starting quarterback could be numbered.
