Belal Muhammad Has Lost Last Two Fights

Belal Muhammad is a former UFC welterweight champion with a professional record of 24-5 (5 KOs, 1 Sub) with 1 No Contest.

Muhammad landed in the UFC back in 2016 and got off to a rough start, losing two of his first three fights before finally turning things around with a four straight victories.

His run was ended by a decision defeat to Geoff Neal in January 2019, but his response to that would be a career best run that saw him go unbeaten in his next 11 fights.

The 37-year-old American bounced back with a points win over Curtis Millender, and then backed up a third-round submission of Takashi Sato with decision victories against Lyman Good and Dhiego Lima.

Muhammad’s run was briefly halted by a No Contest against Leon Edwards, but he quickly put that behind him with wins over former title contenders Demian Maia and Stephen Thompson.

He then beat Vicente Luque on points, before scoring his first knockout win in the UFC as he took out Sean Brady in the second round.

That was followed by a decision victory against Gilbert Burns, and that was enough to secure him a shot at the welterweight championship in the summer of 2024.

Muhammad took his chance as he out-pointed Leon Edwards over five rounds, but he dropped the championship in his first defence in May of last year, losing a decision to Jack Della Maddalena.

That was followed by a unanimous decision defeat when he face Ian Machado Garry last November.

Gabriel Bonfim On Four-Fight Win Streak

Gabriel Bonfim is the number 11 ranked welterweight contender with a professional record of 19-1 (4 KOs, 13 Subs).

Bonfim joined the UFC in 2023 following a successful appearance on Dana White’s Contender Series, and he made a successful start as he won his first two fights.

The 28-year-old Brazilian tapped out Mounir Lazzez in just 49 seconds in his debut fight, and then backed that up by submitting Trevin Giles in 73 seconds.

He failed to make it three-in-a-row as he was knocked out by Nicolas Dalby in November 2023, but to this point that remains the only defeat of his career so far.

Bonfim rebounded with a unanimous decision win over Ange Loosa, and followed that up with a second-round submission of Khaos Williams – the first of three wins in 2025.

‘Marretinha’ then edged former title contender Stephen Thompson by split decision, before ending the year with a second-round stoppage of Randy Brown.
