Their final match of Week 1 became another missed opportunity, entering as favorites against Turkey but recovering from deficits twice before eventually losing the tiebreak 3-2.
Canada’s difficult stretch continued in Ljubljana where they suffered a third consecutive defeat, losing 3-1 to hosts Slovenia, while the same scoreline followed on Friday in a defeat to Ukraine.
