South Korea had zero problems in their opening clash against Saudi Arabia, winning 82-66 and entering the final quarter with a 27-point advantage, while crushing Indonesia 102-48 in the second round and allowing just 18 points in the second half.

Not even tournament hosts Japan could stop them in the final round, with South Korea taking a commanding 100-83 victory despite being behind by two points at the break.

They looked amazing offensively in the quarterfinals as well, crushing Jordan 114-80 while allowing just eight points in the opening quarter.

Iran Surviving After a Difficult Start

Iran's shooting percentages were awful in their first appearance at the Asian Games 2026, which led to a surprising 59-55 loss to Qatar.

They recovered in the second round, taking the underdog role this time to beat Taiwan 72-69 in a dramatic finish, while wrapping up the group stage with an 81-68 victory against Jordan, once again as underdogs.

A big physical battle was seen in the quarterfinals against Bahrain two days ago, but Iran came out on top, winning 79-74.

Their biggest accomplishments so far at the Asian Games were back-to-back silver medals earned in 2014 in Incheon and Jakarta in 2018.
