West Indies Poor Form in ODI cricket


The West Indies have been passing 200 fairly consistently in ODIs but are prone to batting collapses, which has affected their ability to compete for wins.

They lost their last series 3-0 to New Zealand after being rolled for 161 in the 3rd ODI, with Roston Chase (38) the only batter to pass 26.

Matthew Forde (2/46) and Jayden Seales (2/35) put up a good fight to reduce New Zealand to six wickets down, but they couldn’t deny them the win with almost 20 overs to spare.

Sri Lanka looking to build Momentum


Sri Lanka’s last ODI series was at home against England at the end of January, with the home side going down 2-1 after starting with a 19-run win in the 1st ODI after posting 271/6 off their 20 overs, with Kusal Mendis hitting 93*.  

They went down by five wickets in the second match after being bowled out for 219 and in the decider they lost by 53 runs after being bowled out for 304 chasing England’s monster score of 357/3. Pavan Rathnayake (121 off 115 balls) was the only batter to score more than 50.
