In the LCK Cup 2026 Play-In stage, DRX and BRION will clash in a highly anticipated rematch. DRX is seen as the favorite after a narrow 3-2 victory last time, but they face the challenge of maintaining consistency. BRION, yet to secure a victory this season, has shown potential by taking maps from stronger teams, including DRX. The upcoming match promises to be evenly matched, with both teams needing to capitalize on their opportunities. The competition will be live-streamed on popular esports channels and available for in-play betting.

DRX vs BRION Predictions

DRX and BRION are set to face off on Friday, February 6, 2026, in the first round of the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Cup 2026 Play-In stage, marking their second meeting of the season and first since January 28.

DRX defeated BRION in their clash earlier last week; however, it was a competitive affair, suggesting that the rematch will be anything but one-sided. Regardless, DRX have earned the tag of favourites for the rematch as they look to battle through the bracket and into the final stage of the season.

However, despite beating BRION last time out, DRX were not all that convincing, and they haven't shown much during the season either. This, on paper, looks like a clash between two evenly-matched teams.

  • BRION have yet to win a game this season
  • Both teams are inconsistent
  • BRION can challenge DRX

DRX Looking To Go 2-0 Up in H2H

DRX finished the LCK Cup group stage with a 2-3 record, which was enough for a third-place finish in Group Elder, ahead of KT Rolster and behind Dplus KIA.

Their start to the split was rough, as DRX lost the first three fixtures, against Gen.G (0-2), T1 (1-2), and SOOPers (1-2). But they have found more momentum towards the end, beating Nongshim RedForce (2-1) and BRION (3-2) across the final two weeks of play.

It was a mix of solid and some less-inspiring performances. While DRX appear to be a solid macro team, they have also been consistent in finding ways to lose leads. That was noticeable in their game against SOOPers, granted, DRX have also taken a map off T1 and defeated NS RedForce.

DRX are far from one of the top teams in the league, but they have been showing some signs of life. That is mostly thanks to ucal, who has been DRX's top player and is often the man to turn to carry the games.

BRION Have Yet to Taste Victory in 2026

BRION have not managed to win a single game during the group stage. But they have taken five maps, against FEARX, Hanwha Life Esports, KT Rolster, and two against DRX in the final week.

It is worth noting that BRION should've probably won against HLE and KT Rolster, but bungled their chances.

Their last outing against DRX was an interesting one. Each side secured a commanding victory on the first two maps. BRION produced a nice bounce-back on the third map, but choked on the fourth, despite holding a sizeable lead. Map five was all DRX.

Not the most inspiring performance, but it is not like DRX were the superior team.

BRION Squad & Team News

BRION have not announced any roster changes.

  • Shin "Casting" Min-jae – top lane
  • Kim "GIDEON" Min-seong – jungle
  • Lee "Fisher" Jeong-tae – mid lane
  • Cho "Roamer" Woo-jin – mid lane
  • Park "Teddy" Jin-seong – ADC
  • Namgung "Namgung" Seong-hoon – support

Verdict

DRX defeated BRION last time out, but it was far from a dominant showing. It is even fair to argue that BRION should've won 3-1; however, they slipped in a key moment.

This has become a trend with most bottom-table teams, and DRX are no strangers to choking either. Even though their 2-3 record appears far more impressive than BRION's 0-5, BRION could've easily been 3-2 had a few moments gone their way.

There is not enough to separate these two teams to believe either is much better than the other. BRION can take down DRX.
