G2 Minnesota are 2-1 in their last three games. They defeated Cloud9 New York and Boston Breach, but got smoked by the Los Angeles Thieves. Things are not going to get any easier for them at this stage, as G2 have to face OpTic, LA Thieves, Riyadh Falcons, and Toronto KOI.
Even with the addition of two new players in Nastie and Envoy, G2 Minnesota looked somewhat toothless against the LA Thieves, so it is fair to question how much better they can do against another CDL titan in OpTic Texas.
They do fine on Overload, with a 60% win rate, but Search & Destroy (37.5%) and Hardpoint (54.2%) are lacking. Until there’s some improvement on those modes, G2 Minnesota will remain a mid-table team.
