Boxing Legend Amanda Serrano Offers To Fight Amanda Nunes At UFC 324
Amanda Serrano has thrown her hat into the MMA ring, expressing her eagerness to fight Amanda Nunes at UFC 324 after Kayla Harrison withdrew due to neck surgery. Harrison, who was set for a high-profile match against Nunes, has been sidelined by herniated discs, leading to this unexpected vacancy. Serrano, a boxing champion, boasts a 2-0-1 MMA record and recently returned to form with a victory on January 3. The UFC now faces a decision to find a new opponent for Nunes or wait until Harrison’s recovery, possibly reshaping the upcoming fight card.

Amanda Serrano has offered to make a spectacular crossover to mixed martial arts and fight fellow combat sports legend Amanda Nunes at UFC 324 on January 24.
Former two-weight world champion Nunes, who has been retired for a couple of years, was scheduled to make her eagerly awaited return at the first big UFC event of 2025, but the fight with Kayla Harrison had to be shelved after the reigning women’s bantamweight champion had to undergo neck surgery.
Harrison, who captured the title in June 2025 with a submission victory over Julianna Pena, suffered herniated discs in training and underwent surgery in New York, according to reports.
The injury is expected to sideline the former Olympic judo star for months, prompting the postponement of what was billed as one of the year’s most anticipated women’s fights.
With the co-main event now in flux, Serrano — a legend in the boxing world — took to social media to throw her hat into the ring… or should we say Octagon.
“If UFC and Amanda Nunes are thinking of a replacement, I would love the challenge as I’m still in fight shape,” Serrano wrote.
Serrano, 37, is a multiple-weight world champion in boxing and has flirted with mixed martial arts since 2018, compiling a modest record of 2-0-1.
Her recent victory on January 3 marked a return to form after back-to-back defeats in boxing, and the offer to face Nunes underscores her willingness to test herself on even bigger stages.
With Harrison’s withdrawal, the UFC now faces a choice: find a new opponent for Nunes on short notice, potentially reshaping the UFC 324 fight card, or wait until the champion’s recovery to rebook the showdown later in 2026.
For now the card is set to be headlined by a fight for the interim lightweight title, and you can get our free Justin Gaethje vs Paddy Pimblett betting tips right here.
