Cong An Ha Noi host Kyoto Sanga in the AFC Champions League Elite, with both teams tipped to score and over 2.5 goals expected at Hang Day Stadium. Recent form supports this prediction: Cong An Ha Noi have seen both teams score in four of their last five matches and have netted in 11 of their last 12. Kyoto Sanga have seen both teams score in three of their last four, with an average of four goals per game in their last five. Brayan Perea and Rafael Elias are expected to lead the attacks, while Ko Sakai remains an injury doubt for Kyoto.

Cong An Ha Noi vs Kyoto Sanga Predictions

Cong An Ha Noi face Kyoto Sanga in Tuesday's AFC Champions League Elite fixture.

Both teams have been involved in several high-scoring contests this season, and I expect more of the same on Tuesday.

I'm backing both teams to score and over 2.5 goals at Hang Day Stadium.

Goals Expected in Hanoi

  • Cong An Ha Noi have seen BTTS in 4 of their last 5 matches
  • Cong An Ha Noi scored 1+ goals in 11 of their last 12 matches
  • Kyoto Sanga have seen BTTS in 3 of their last 4 matches
  • Kyoto Sanga have seen an average of 4.0 goals scored in their last 5 matches

Cong An Ha Noi and Kyoto Sanga Set for First Meeting

Cong An Ha Noi and Kyoto Sanga will meet for the first time on Tuesday.

Cong An Ha Noi Looking to Build on Shanghai Win

Cong An Ha Noi return to continental action after a 1-1 draw at Song Lam Nghe An in the V-League 1 on Saturday.

Luizao put the home side ahead in the first half before Brayan Perea equalised after half-time.

Alexandre Polking's side dominated possession (62-38%) and registered more shots, but failed to turn their superiority into three points.

Cong An also recorded a higher xG total (1.57-0.91) but were unable to find a winner despite Song Lam Nghe An being reduced to ten men in the second half.

The Vietnamese champions return to the AFC Elite after an outstanding 3-2 win at Shanghai Port in their previous fixture two weeks ago.

Alexandre Polking's side had slipped to defeat in their first two fixtures in the East section. Cong An Ha Noi fell to a 4-1 defeat at Gamba Osaka before a 1-0 home reversal against Kashima Antlers.

Recent home results have been uninspiring. Polking's men failed to win any of their last three games at Hang Day Stadium.

Kyoto Maintain Winning Form

Kyoto Sanga return to AFC Champions League Elite action after a 2-0 win against Shimizu S-Pulse in the J1 League.

Rafael Elias bagged a first-half brace as Kyoto claimed the points at Sanga Stadium by KYOCERA.

Kyoto edged a hard-fought contest despite enjoying slightly less possession (48-52%) and registering just eight shots compared to Shimizu's seven.

Ranko Popovic's side also recorded a higher xG total (1.32-0.75) in a tight J1L encounter.

Before Saturday's success, Kyoto had claimed an entertaining 5-2 home win against Newcastle Jets in their previous AFC Elite encounter.

Kyoto recovered from two goals down, with Hisashi Appiah Tawiah, Alex Souza (2), Marco Tulio and Rafael Elias all on target in Japan.

Kyoto have made a decent start to their East section campaign. The Japanese side won both of their last two fixtures after a 1-0 defeat at Daejeon in their first game of the competition.

Cong An Ha Noi vs Kyoto Sanga Team News

Cong An Ha Noi: (4-1-3-2) Filip Nguyen; Frans Putros, Leygley Adou, Doan Van Hau, Jason Pendant; Damia Sabater; Le Van Do, Alan Grafite, Stefan Mauk; Brayan Perea, Leo Artur.

Cong An Ha Noi head coach Alexandre Polking could retain much of the side that drew with Song Lam Nghe An on Saturday.

Brayan Perea is expected to lead the hosts' attack after scoring three goals in his last two appearances.

The Vietnamese champions have no reported injury issues.

Kyoto Sanga: (3-4-2-1) Halls; Hisashi Appiah Tawiah, Yoshinori Suzuki, Kodai Nagata; Yoon Sung-jun, Shimpei Fukuoka, Joao Pedro, Haruki Arai; Alex Souza, Marco Tulio; Rafael Elias.

Kyoto head coach Ranko Popovic is unlikely to make too many changes after back-to-back victories in the past ten days.

Rafael Elias is expected to lead the visitors' attack after scoring twice against Shimizu.

Ko Sakai remains an injury doubt and could miss out this week.

Verdict

Cong An have struggled defensively in recent weeks, while Kyoto have scored seven goals in their last two matches.

I have my stake on BTTS and a BTT/Over 2.5 goals double in Hanoi.
