Bournemouth and Liverpool are both proven goal scorers in the Premier League, making this Sunday's clash a prime candidate for an exciting, high-scoring match. The article recommends betting on both teams to score (BTTS) and over 2.5 goals as the best value pick, with odds of 1.73. For those seeking more risk, over 3.5 total goals at 2.2 odds is also suggested. The key expectation is an open, attacking match with multiple goals.

H2H - Recent High-Scorers

Liverpool have a 20-3 advantage against Bournemouth, alongside three draws.

Bournemouth Are BTTS Specialists in the EPL

Marco Rose’s Bournemouth have seen BTTS in all four Premier League matches this season. They have scored six and conceded seven goals in the league.

The Cherries have scored two or more goals in each of their last four matches in all competitions. Bournemouth started that run with a 2-2 away draw at Newcastle and a 4-0 home victory over Lincoln.

Rose’s side played out another 2-2 league stalemate against Brentford on Saturday. The south coast outfit had 1.75 XG and four big chances.

Bournemouth made a winning start on their Europa League debut and secured a 2-1 victory at Real Sociedad. Justin Kluivert and Rayan scored in the opening 20 minutes and the Cherries conceded midway through the second period.

Liverpool Create Plenty of Chances

Liverpool are undefeated in the 2026/27 campaign, winning and drawing three. The Merseysiders have scored 11 goals in six games and have 1.85 XG per game in the Premier League.

The Reds drew 2-2 in their first two matches this season against Newcastle and Nottingham Forest. Andoni Iraola’s side hit back with a 2-0 win at Ipswich and a 2-1 home victory over Atletico Madrid.

That mini-winning streak came to an end after a goalless draw against Fulham at Anfield. Liverpool were the better side and had 1.28 XG.

Iraola’s outfit then comfortably beat Tottenham 3-1 in the EFL Cup. Alexis MacAllister, Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai scored and the Reds had five shots on target.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Bournemouth (4-2-3-1): Djorde Petrovic; Adan Smith, James Hill, Antonio Silva, Adrien Truffert; Tyler Adams, Alex Scott; Rayan, Justin Kluivert, Marcus Tavernier; Evanilson

Attackers Junior Kroupi and Amine Adli won’t feature due to long-term injuries. Full-back Julian Araujo is out with a thigh problem.

Veljko Milosavljevic is also sidelined with a quadriceps issue. Marc Rose explained that the defender was nearing a return and said:

“The plan is that Veljko is the first one who is coming back, I think he just started on the pitch to do some runs with the ball.”

Liverpool (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Ronald Araujo, Jeremy Jacquet, Virgil Van Dijk, Milos Kerkez; Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai; Cody Gakpo, Florian Wirtz, Bradley Barcola; Alexander Isak

Attacking pair Federico Chiesa and Hugo Ekitike are sidelined with long-term injuries. Defenders Conor Bradley and Giovanni Leoni are also ruled out due to injury.

Andoni Iraola recently shared that Ekitike and Bradley will be unavailable until after the international break and said, "Probably Conor, and especially Hugo, will go later [than the international break], yes.”

Verdict

Bournemouth and Liverpool know how to get on the scoresheet in the Premier League. BTTS and over 2.5 goals is the best pick on Sunday.
