After being demolished 4-0 by Man Utd in their first-ever UCL main stage appearance, Sabah Baku earned a historic 2-0 home victory over Slavia Prague last week.

They punished the Czech champions for wasting numerous chances and capitalised on counter-attacking opportunities. Kaheem Parris broke the deadlock just after the break, while Joy Mickels sealed the win in the 88th minute.

BVB Trying to Bounce Back

Borussia Dortmund edged out Villarreal 3-2 in the Champions League opening round and travelled to Norway to face Bodo/Glimt in high spirits last week, but underperformed and deservedly lost 1-0.

Niko Kovac’s side ended this clash with 0.79-1.12 expected goals and 9-11 shots, creating just one goal chance which was missed by Ethan Nwaneri.

BVB have also been underperforming in the Bundesliga recently, returning from the international break with a 2-2 draw against Werder Bremen (conceded twice in stoppage time), while last weekend’s clash against Union Berlin ended without goals, leaving them in second place.
