The Blue Bombers are boosted by the return of Zach Collaros, but the Stampeders are the team in better form and they have had Winnipeg’s number over the past couple of seasons.

Calgary Stampeders On 3-Game Win Streak

Calgary head out on the road riding a three-game win streak that has taken them to 8-8 and has put them within touching distance of the playoffs.

The Stampeders blew hot and cold as they split their first eight games of the season, and a rough run between the start of August and the middle of September then threatened to end their season.

They lost 33-30 at Toronto and 30-26 to the BC Lions, and then failed to follow up a 28-23 win over Hamilton as they lost back-to-back games against Edmonton, falling 38-28 at home and 53-16 on the road.

Those losses left Calgary at 5-8, but they have turned things around over the past few weeks with three straight wins.

The Stampeders are back in the playoff mix having beaten Ottawa 40-38 at home and 45-31 on the road, and Saskatchewan 37-31 on the road.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers Lost Back-To-Back Games

Winnipeg have gone cold over the past couple of months, with six defeats in their last nine games dropping them to 7-8.

The Blue Bombers made a solid start as they won four of their first six games, but back-to-back defeats in July proved to be the start of a dip in form.

They failed to back up a 33-21 win over Ottawa as they lost 22-19 in Edmonton, and were then unable to build on a 44-28 victory against Montreal as they fell 32-26 in overtime in Saskatchewan.

Winnipeg avenged that loss to the Roughriders the following week, winning 19-6 at home, but they have not tasted victory since then.

The Blue Bombers lost 30-28 to Toronto and 37-10 in Montreal, meaning they are now two games behind BC and one behind Saskatchewan and Calgary in the postseason race.
