Australia and France have both won their two pool games to date but it has been Australia that looked most dangerous. This would be another upset but the Aussies can beat this French U20 side.

France U20 Struggled against Spain


France had to come from behind in their Pool D match against Spain last weekend, winning 57-32 after trailing 20-17 at the break. 

Before that result, France kicked off their World Rugby U20 Championship campaign with a 45-15 victory over Fiji. 

Les Bleuets occupy second place in Pool D with ten points from two games. 

France have won seven consecutive matches in all competitions, but they will have to play well against Australia, as their opponents have scored 143 points in the tournament so far and have won five of their last seven fixtures. 

Australia U20 Superb Attacking Form


Australia cruised to an easy victory in their second match at the 2026 World Rugby U20 Championship last weekend, winning 53-17 after leading 36-3 at half-time. 

Earlier in their campaign, Australia started their tournament with a crushing 90-22 victory over Spain.

The Junior Wallabies are first in Pool D with ten points after two rounds. 

Australia have been in fine form during the tournament, scoring many tries, and will have the belief that they can come out on top against France in their final group stage match and progress to the semi-finals of the World Rugby U20 Championship.
