The Hurricanes have dominated at home throughout the Super Rugby season, winning 10 consecutive games at their stadium and finishing first in the table. Despite a recent away defeat, they are strong favorites to beat the Brumbies in the Qualifying Final, having defeated them 45-12 earlier in the season. The Brumbies have struggled for consistency, especially away from home, and face a daunting challenge. With their impeccable home record, the Hurricanes are recommended to cover the -18.5 handicap.

The Hurricanes have won all their home games this season and are unlikely to drop this one. They cruised to victory in the league match here against the Brumbies. I do believe this will be closer, but the Australians will have to produce something out of this world to win.

Key Stats - Hurricanes Dominant all Season

  • Hurricanes have won 5 of their last 6 fixtures.
  • Hurricanes have won 10 consecutive home matches.
  • Hurricanes have won 5 consecutive home games against the Brumbies.
  • Brumbies have lost 4 of their last 6 fixtures.
  • Brumbies have lost 3 of their last 5 away matches.
  • Brumbies lost by 33 points to the Hurricanes earlier this season.

Brumbie Hold Lead

Brumbies lead 12-9 in 21 matches against the Hurricanes but when they met in Wellington earlier this season, the Canes thrashed the Canberra outfit 45-12.

Hurricanes Top of the Table

The Hurricanes suffered their first defeat in six matches last weekend, losing 47-14 away to the Crusaders after trailing 26-7 at the break.

The 'Canes finished 1st in the Super Rugby table during the regular season, with 55 points from 14 games.

The side from Wellington have been in outstanding form at home during their campaign. They defeated Moana Pasifika 52-10, Western Force 31-23, the Reds 52-14, the Blues 42-19, the Brumbies 45-12, the Crusaders 38-21, and the Highlanders 45-28.

The Hurricanes will start confidently in their Super Rugby Qualifying Final, having won ten consecutive home games and remaining unbeaten at their stadium this season. They also defeated the Brumbies by 33 points earlier in their campaign.

Brumbies Struggling for Consistency

The ACT Brumbies fell short in their final match of the regular season last weekend, losing 21-19 at home to Moana Pasifika after the score was 14-14 at the break.

The Brumbies placed 6th overall in the Super Rugby standings with 34 points from 14 matches.

The team based in Canberra have had mixed fortunes away from home this season. They defeated the Western Force 56-24 and the Crusaders 50-24, lost 42-27 to the Fijian Drua, beat the Highlanders 14-10, and then lost 45-12 to the Hurricanes and 30-21 to the Reds before defeating the Waratahs 21-14.

The ACT Brumbies face a tough assignment in their Super Rugby Qualifying Final against the Hurricanes, having struggled recently with four league losses in their last six fixtures and five consecutive defeats at their opponents' stadium.
