Tyson Fury is unsurprisingly a big odds-on favourite to win his final warm-up fight before an expected November showdown with domestic rival Anthony Joshua.
After years of exchanging verbal and written jabs in the media and on social media, the two British heavyweights appear set to finally face each other later this year, but before then Fury and Joshua will step into the boxing ring at least one more time.
Joshua faces Kristian Prenga in a professional bout in Saudi Arabia on July 25, but 24 hours before that Fury will be in action in Thailand, as he faces Polish veteran Mariusz Wach in an exhibition bout for charity.
“2026 is a landmark year for me in boxing and I'm excited to be able to bring this event to Pattaya, a part of the world that is special to me,” Fury said. “We're coming together to put on a great show for the fans, while using the opportunity to give back the local community, who have been so good to me every time I have visited.
“At the same time, I'm fully focused on preparing for a tough opponent and making sure I'm the best version of Tyson Fury going into fight night. It's the start of a huge second half of the year for me.”
Wach is a former world title contender who has faced a number of notable names in his career – including Wladimir Klitschko, Alexander Povetkin and Dillian Whyte – but with seven defeats in his last 10 outings, it is safe to say that the 46-year-old is well past his prime at this point.
Therefore it is no shock to see former world champion Fury being made a 1/50 favourite for the contest by bet365, with Wach priced at 14/1 to pull off a gigantic upset and potentially derail plans for Fury-Joshua.
