Legacy Are in Freefall
Following a long stretch of disappointing results, Legacy suffered another tough loss in the first round of IEM Beijing, as they had to admit defeat to The MongolZ.
The match started well for the Brazilian squad, who took a 16-13 lead on Mirage. However, they ran out of steam and got reverse-swept with 6-13 on Dust II and 8-13 on Ancient.
The loss marked Legacy’s sixth over a seven-game stretch. That also includes defeats against FURIA, BetBoom Team, Nemiga Gaming, Team Liquid, and The MongolZ, who previously bested Legacy during PGL Masters Bucharest.

B8 entered IEM Beijing as one of the outsiders, and they’ve yet to prove anyone wrong. In the first round of the tournament, B8 had to admit defeat to HEROIC in a very one-sided game.
HEROIC won the match with 13-4 on Nuke and 13-7 on Dust II, not letting B8 reach double digits once across the two maps.
With that defeat, B8 have now lost seven of their last 10 games, with only two victories over that stretch coming against Alliance and K27 – which is nothing to write home about.

Legacy are a more accomplished team and stronger side on paper, but considering what they’ve shown of late, they are hard to trust to deliver on Tuesday. B8 have hardly been any more successful, producing equally uninspiring performances in the weeks leading up to IEM Beijing.
