Team Nemesis enter the Chinese tournament as an unproven team, having spent the entire season competing in lesser events. While they have won a few B-Tier tournaments and have left a positive mark in a handful of other events, Team Nemesis have yet to feature in an A- or higher-tier competition.
While XSE Pro League will be a test for Nemesis, it will be a tournament Monte will want to perform well in, following a streak of shaky showings in S-Tier competitions. Despite the lack of success, however, Monte have at least had a chance to practice against stronger teams.

Monte Have Tools To Succeed
Monte enter XSE Pro League following a disappointing run at Intel Extreme Masters Cologne Major, where they placed 12th-14th after making it through Stage 2 and collapsing in Stage 3, with one win against PARIVISION and defeats against Aurora Gaming, Team Falcons, and The MongolZ.
On a more positive note, Monte showed signs of life in Germany. They took a map off Team Falcons and The MongolZ, nearly beating the latter. They also looked potent in Stage 2, with wins against Legacy, paiN Gaming, and BIG.
Despite not making the playoffs, Monte showed they have the tools to compete at a high level. So in theory, the opponents at XSE Pro League should not cause them too many issues.

Team Nemesis Have A Lot to Prove
Team Nemesis enter XSE Pro League as a relatively unproven team. They have spent the entire season competing in C- and B-Tier tournaments and have yet to feature in a big event.
Nevertheless, Team Nemesis have been showing some pulse, winning five tournaments and placing top-three in five more. More recently, they made the finals of NODWIN Clutch Series #9, won BC.Game Masters Season 2 Europe Series #2 and secured another silver medal from ESL Challenger League Season 51: Europe.
While Nemesis have been finding some success in lesser tournaments, they have yet to prove themselves against stronger teams.

Verdict
Monte are a far more proven team than Nemesis, having spent the last month competing in big events, against teams of much higher calibre.
While BO1s are notoriously volatile, this is Monte’s game to lose.
Nemesis, on the other side, have been finding mixed results in lesser events, which does not inspire much confidence that they’ll be able to take on Monte.
While BO1s are notoriously volatile, this is Monte’s game to lose.
