Natus Vincere vs Movistar KOI Betting Predictions

Natus Vincere and Movistar KOI are set to lock horns on Friday, September 18, in the lower bracket semifinal of League of Legends EMEA Championship 2026 Summer Playoffs, in a rematch from Week 4 of the regular season.

Movistar KOI defeated Natus Vincere 2-0 last time out, and will be expected to come out ahead on Friday. But even though Movistar KOI look like a stronger team on paper, they are also the most volatile, feast-or-famine squad in the league, capable of challenging anyone or losing to anyone.

This lack of consistency has led KOI to suffer some bad losses, including against teams weaker than Natus Vincere, so it is not beyond the realm of possibility for NaVi to leave a serious dent in the favourites this week.

  • Movistar KOI defeated Natus Vincere last time out

Natus Vincere Can Be Sloppy

Natus Vincere defeated GIANTX in the lower bracket quarterfinals of League of Legends EMEA Championship 2026 Summer Playoffs, with 3-2.

It was not the most convincing performance from NaVi, who did not come too far away from losing the series, but they also entered the match rusty, having not played a game since late August.

NaVi dominated the first map and should’ve won the second, but got overly confident and lost on the spot. Natus Vincere kept the ball rolling on the third map and got ahead early, even setting themselves up for success. But like on the second map, they got overly confident and nearly slipped. Good bottom lane setup helped NaVi avoid disaster.

On the fourth map, Natus Vincere choked, but bounced back on the fifth, closing out the series 3-2.
It was not the best performance from Natus Vincere, who looked very sloppy. They were rusty, so perhaps NaVi deserve some slack, but performances like that will not get them far in the playoffs.

Movistar KOI Are Volatile

Movistar KOI started their LEC 2026 Summer campaign with a 3-2 victory against Team Vitality, which was a somewhat unexpected result. That’s not necessarily because KOI lack the quality to challenge Vitality, but mainly because they’ve become known as an extremely volatile team.

The last game played out exactly in KOI’s volatile and chaotic style, but this time it was both teams who’ve slipped many times. It was an entertaining, but a fiesta of a game, as Vitality and KOI both produced many weird throws.

The only decisive map was the fourth one, in which Movistar KOI looked composed, and they executed the plan well. We already know KOI are capable of good games. But they are also incapable of doing it consistently.

Verdict

Natus Vincere edged past GIANTX in the last round, when they showed a lot of cracks. They have had a few iffy moments and did not look too convincing in using the Baron buff, indicating some macro issues.

Movistar KOI are a better team on paper, and rightly favoured to win. But KOI are also very inconsistent and volatile, so there is a world where they choke this game as well.

Both teams looked sloppy in their last game, so the real question is which of the two will make fewer errors on Friday. This is a close game in the making.
