Rafael Fiziev Has Lost 4 Of Last 5 Fights
Rafael Fiziev is the current number 11 ranked lightweight contender with a professional record of 13-5 (8 KOs, 1 Sub).
Fiziev debuted in the UFC back in April 2019, and got off to a rough start as he was knocked out in 86 seconds by Magomed Mustafaev.
He quickly rebounded, beating Alex White on points, and that proved to be the start of a six-fight win streak.
The 33-year-old out-pointed Marc Diakese and knocked out Renato Moicano in the first round in 2020, as the pandemic did not slow down his climb up the lightweight ladder.
Fiziev then beat Bobby Green by unanimous decision and Brad Riddell via third-round knockout, before scoring his biggest win up to that point as he knocked out Rafael dos Anjos in the fifth round.
His momentum stalled after that victory though, as his win streak was ended by a majority decision defeat to Justin Gaethje.
‘Ataman’ then suffered a knee injury during his bout with Mateusz Gamrot, resulting in a TKO loss, and made a losing return to action 18 months later when he dropped another decision to Gaethje.
Fiziev finally stopped the rot in June of last year as he beat Ignacio Bahamondes on points, but he was unable to back that up in February when he was knocked out in the second round by Mauricio Ruffy.
Manuel Torres Riding Back-To-Back Wins
Manuel Torres is the current number 15 ranked contender in the lightweight division with a career record of 17-3 (9 KOs, 7 Subs).
Torres arrived in the UFC in 2022 following a successful appearance on Dana White’s Contender Series, and got off to a flying start as he knocked out Frank Camacho in the first round.
He backed that up with a 110-second stoppage of Nicolas Motta, and then took less time than that to submit Chris Duncan.
The 31-year-old Mexican’s run was ended in September 2024 as he was knocked out in the first round by Ignacio Bahamondes, but he has not lost since.
Torres rebounded in March of last year as he took 105 seconds to knock out Drew Dober.
‘El Loco’ then followed that up in December when he knocked out Grant Dawson halfway through the first round.
