Cloud9 vs LYON Betting Tips – Clash for a Spot in LCS 2026 Spring Grand Final
Cloud9 and LYON face off for a grand finals spot in the 2026 LCS Spring Playoffs. Historically, Cloud9 holds the advantage, having beaten LYON twice this season and boasting a flawless 7-0 regular season record. Though Cloud9's overall roster is stronger, LYON's Inspired is a standout player who could shift the series. Still, unless LYON rallies around their star jungler, Cloud9 is expected to win—though a closer match isn’t out of the question. Cloud9 have LYON’s number, having won this head-to-head twice, including once in April. They are also widely considered as LCS’s best team, and their past results and performances would confirm it.
LYON are not quite up there with Cloud9 – granted, no LCS team is – but they have been playing well, and have an effective tool in Inspired, who can single-handedly make the day harder on Cloud9.
While this is C9’s game to lose, LYON are unlikely to just roll over and die.
- Cloud9 are rightly expected to win
- LYON have strong pieces
- A closer game is not entirely out of the question
Cloud9 Lead the Head-to-Head

Cloud9 Look Like LCS’ Strongest Team
Cloud9 have looked incredible – at least domestically and in this split. They won the regular season with a perfect 7-0 record, and kicked off the playoffs with a victory over FlyQuest.
The latter was a very competitive game, ending on the fifth map. This was hardly shocking as FlyQuest played Cloud9 close in the final stretch of the regular season.
It was a good game from both sides. Cloud9 dominated maps one and five. The other three maps were relatively close, which is just a testament to the quality of Cloud9 as much as FlyQuest.
The victory did not prove anything new. Cloud9 remain at the top of the LCS food chain and are rightly viewed as the best team in the league. They have no evident weak spots, besides overcommitting at times, although it is more than fair to say that other teams, including LYON, have players who can hang with Cloud9’s members.

LYON Can Challenge Anyone
LYON placed second in the regular season with a 5-2 record, including a loss to Cloud9. They have since beaten Team Liquid 3-2 in the upper-bracket semifinal, which is promising, though nothing exceptional.
Team Liquid had a few slip-ups on the day, which helped LYON come out ahead. That, however, does not take away from the fact that LYON played well and proved themselves as one of LCS’s top dogs.
So far this season, Inspired has been the main ending behind LYON’s success. He is arguably the best player in the LCS and capable of taking over the games. He alone is a strong tool that LYON will want to use against Cloud9, especially given his success against Blaber before.
In other roles, LYON are still behind.

LYON Squad & Team News
LYON have not announced any roster changes.
- Niship "Dhokla" Doshi – top lane
- Cho "Castle" Hyeon-seong – top lane
- Kacper "Inspired" Słoma – jungle
- Kang "Saint" Seong-in – mid lane
- Kim "Berserker" Min-cheol – ADC
- Jonah "Isles" Rosario – support
Verdict
This should be Cloud9’s game to lose. They’re objectively a better team across the board, except for the jungle role, where LYON arguably hold an edge.
Inspired has been in exceptional form this season and is a player who can singlehandedly win LYON games. The issue is, Cloud9 have better players in other positions, so unless LYON manage to keep up and enable Inspired, things could get dicey.
Cloud9 should win, but LYON have shown enough to believe they can keep it close.
