NRG Need a Bounce Back
NRG started their Esports World Cup campaign with a promising 2-1 victory against the reigning VALORANT Masters finalists, Paper Rex. However, they failed to keep their momentum going and lost the Group A winners' match against Team Vitality 1-2.
It was a competitive game, which could’ve ended in NRG’s favour, had they won a couple more rounds on Ascent. On the map, NRG took a commanding lead and were 11-7 up, but failed to get over the finish line and eventually lost in overtime.
NRG then struck back on Lotus with 13-8, but came out short on Breeze, with 10-13.
Overall, NRG have been playing well, but they just barely came out short against Team Vitality. While their collapse on Ascent is concerning, as it’s not the first time NRG slipped, this squad have the talent to challenge anyone.

This season has been very underwhelming for Karmine Corp, who’ve not won or come close to winning anything, but the Esports World Cup qualifiers. They also failed to impress in the first round of Group B at the Esports World Cup, when they lost to Team Vitality 0-3.
However, while their showings have been very worrying, Karmine Corp pulled off a major upset in the elimination match, where they reverse-swept Paper Rex 2-1.
Karmine Corp came out of nowhere to take down one of the world’s best teams, with N4RRATE leading the charge with a 1.33 series rating.
However, while KC deserve recognition for that win, it is worth noting that PR did not play well on the day, and are, like many other teams who’ve recently featured at Masters London, seemingly dealing with some fatigue.
