Team Liquid vs CTBC Flying Oyster Betting Predictions

Team Liquid and CTBC Flying Oyster will clash on Friday, October 23, in the first round of the 2026 League of Legends World Championship Swiss Stage.

Team Liquid have had an excellent run through the summer split, and they’ve been showing glimpses of greatness even earlier in the season. While it may be too early to call, but this iteration looks like the best team LCS has produced in years, giving hope that Liquid can surprise on home soil.

CTBC Flying Oyster are a known name after what they’ve accomplished in 2025. But this roster is not the same, nor is it as potent as last year’s, so expectations on CFO should remain low.

  • CTBC Flying Oyster aren’t as strong as they were in 2025
  • Team Liquid can deliver
  • This is Liquid’s game to lose

Team Liquid Look Surprisingly Good

Team Liquid concluded the season with a gold medal at LCS 2026 Summer, proving themselves as the clear best North American team.

Liquid head to LoL Worlds in excellent form, and appear more than ready to make some noise. They weren’t hugely successful in their only other international tournament this year – exiting the Mid-Season Invitational in ninth place. However, Liquid have since improved, so that result carries little weight. Yet even then, Liquid had some good moments at MSI.

Things are looking up for Team Liquid, who look to be in a great spot to surprise many. This is the best team we’ve seen come from the LCS in years.

CTBC Flying Oyster Are Not As Strong As in 2025

CTBC Flying Oyster had to make significant roster changes for the 2026 season after losing JunJia and HongQ following a very strong run through 2025.

Last year, CFO won all three LCP splits, made semifinals of the First Stand tournament, finished fifth-sixth at the Mid-Season Invitational, and made the quarterfinals at LoL Worlds 2025.

This iteration of the roster hasn’t delivered quite the same punch this year, as they’ve not won a single tournament, nor have they qualified for any international events. Their runner-up finish in LCP Split 3 is inspiring, but this version of CTBC Flying Oyster isn’t the same as the one from 2025.
