HV71 are tipped to claim victory over Linköping at home, including overtime and shootout, based on their strong performances in Jönköping. The hosts have taken points in every home game this season, while Linköping arrive after three straight regulation losses and have struggled to score. The article recommends under 5.5 total goals, noting recent low-scoring trends, and suggests Jan Mysak is likely to score again for HV71. The main conclusion is a predicted 3–1 home win for HV71.

HV71 vs Linköping Tips and Predictions

I’m backing HV71 to win, including overtime and shootout, on Tuesday.

All three of their victories this season have come at home, where they have won three of four games. Linköping arrive after three consecutive regulation defeats, giving the hosts an opportunity to put their latest away losses behind them.

HV71 have beaten Skellefteå, Örebro and Brynäs in their last three home appearances. Their only home defeat came in overtime against Malmö, so they have taken points from every game in front of their own supporters. Linköping have scored just three goals across their last three outings, and I’m backing home advantage to make the difference.

Under 5.5 goals is my totals selection. Six of Linköping’s nine games have finished below this line, while three of HV71’s last four have produced five goals or fewer. With the visitors averaging just 1.56 goals per game this season, I’m expecting HV71 to get the job done without needing a high-scoring contest.

Jan Mysak has led HV71’s goalscoring with seven goals in 10 appearances, finding the net in five of those games. He has scored four times across his last five outings, including a hat-trick at Rögle. Facing a Linköping side that has conceded 12 goals across its last three matches, I’m backing Mysak to spearhead the home attack and add another goal to his tally.

  • HV71 have won their last three home games, including two victories in overtime.
  • HV71 have taken points from all four home appearances this season.
  • Linköping have lost their last three games in regulation, scoring three goals and conceding 12.
  • Six of Linköping’s nine games have finished under 5.5 goals.
  • Three of HV71’s last four games have finished under 5.5 goals.
  • Jan Mysak has scored seven goals in 10 appearances, including four across his last five games.

Linköping Form

Linköping travel to Jönköping after a 4–2 home defeat against Färjestad, following a 3–0 loss to Frölunda and a 5–1 defeat at Djurgården. They sit bottom of the standings with two wins from nine games, having scored 14 goals and conceded 30. Their last victory was a 3–0 success at Växjö, but three straight defeats have followed that result.

Their away record stands at one win from three games, with an overtime defeat at Rögle alongside the victory at Växjö and loss at Djurgården.

Cooper Marody has collected three points across his last five appearances, while Linus Hultström has recorded 13 shots on goal over the same stretch. Turning those attacking contributions into more consistent scoring remains central to improving their results.

HV71 Form

HV71 return home after a 5–2 defeat at Luleå, following a 2–1 overtime loss at Timrå. They have three wins from 10 games, with 27 goals scored and 36 conceded, but their home and away results tell different stories. All seven defeats have come either on the road or in their opening home game, with three successive home victories providing a stronger platform for this fixture.

Their latest home outing ended in a 3–2 victory over Brynäs, with Justin Kloos scoring twice. Mysak leads the team with seven goals, while Pavol Regenda and Hugo Fransson have nine points apiece.

Having already beaten Skellefteå and Örebro in overtime at home, HV71 have also shown they can finish the job when a tight contest goes beyond regulation

Verdict

HV71 to win, including overtime and shootout, is my main selection, with under 5.5 goals and Jan Mysak to score as separate picks. My score prediction is a 3–1 home win.
