Minnesota are tipped to cover a small spread as they win this big NFC North matchup.

The Vikings will put pressure on Jordan Love all game long, while the Packers feel the absences of Josh Jacobs and Micah Parsons on their respective side of the football.

Green Bay Packers Collapsed In 2025 Postseason

Green Bay go into the new season looking to bounce back from their embarrassing exit from the playoffs last time around.

The Packers went 9-7-1 during the regular season, but that was enough to earn them a Wild Card place and a trip to face division rivals Chicago.

They blew a late lead when visiting the Bears during the regular season, and this time they suffered an even bigger collapse as they blew a 21-3 half-time lead.

Green Bay held a 21-6 lead heading into the fourth quarter, but inexplicably gave up 25 points as they crashed to a 31-27 defeat.

The Packers warmed up for the new season by going 2-1 in the pre-season, rebounding from a 28-9 defeat in Pittsburgh with wins at Denver, 33-13, and at home to Arizona, 42-38.

Minnesota Vikings Missed Out On Playoffs Last Season

Minnesota enjoyed a late surge last season, but that was not enough to earn them a trip to the playoffs.

The Vikings failed to string together wins during the first couple of months of the campaign, and a four-game losing skid in November effectively ended their season.

However, they did at least end the season on a positive note, winning five consecutive games to climb above .500 and finish 9-8.

Minnesota will be targeting more consistency and a postseason place this time around, and they enter the new campaign having gone 1-2 in the pre-season.

The Vikings opened with a 13-10 win at the New York Giants, before losing 13-3 to Baltimore and 34-6 in Denver.

Verdict

Jordan Love had his issues dealing with pressure last season, and he does not have Josh Jacobs to help him against Brian Flores’ aggressive Vikings defense.

And on the opposite side, the Packers do not have Micah Parsons to trouble the Kyler Murray and his Minnesota O-line, so give us the home team on Sunday.
