Rice Won Their Home Opener

Rice head to South Bend boasting a perfect record after comfortable victory over Houston Baptist a week ago.

The Owls fell behind to an early field goal, but they were the only points that they gave up all day, as they ran out winners, 31-3.

Tyvonm Byars and Jacurri Brown were the stars of the show, as they rushed for 104 and 98 yards respectively.

D’Andre Hardemann made an impact as he racked up 77 yards rushing and a touchdown, while Quinton Jackson put up 67 total yards to go along with the only receiving TD on the day.

Notre Dame 1-0 Following Blowout Victory

Notre Dame go into their home opener in South Bend with a 1-0 record thanks to last week’s win at Lambeau Field.

The Fighting Irish, who missed out on the College Football Playoffs last season, made a slow start against Wisconsin and led by just three points at half-time.

However, they pulled away in the second half, out-scoring the Badgers by 25 points to clinch a 41-13 victory.

Notre Dame quarterback CJ Carr threw for 239 yards and a couple of touchdowns, with Jordan Faison leading the way with 81 yards receiving.

The Fighting Irish leant on running back Aneyas Williams, as he carried the football 20 times for 90 yards and a couple of rushing touchdowns.

The line is high for this one, but since that upset against Northern Illinois a couple of years ago, Marcus Freeman’s men have been a solid bet in this role.
