Toronto are tipped to win straight up as an underdog in Winnipeg.

The Argonauts have some momentum for the first time this season, while the Blue Bombers have been hit or miss since late July and will be without Zach Collaros for Friday’s game.

Toronto Argonauts Riding 3-Game Win Streak

Toronto head to Winnipeg on their best run of the season so far, having won three straight games to improve to 8-6 and secure a playoff place.

The Argonauts made a rough start to the season as they were displaced by the World Cup and spent the first several weeks playing on the road.

That resulted in a 3-4 start, but they have turned things around since then, winning six of their last eight games.

Toronto’s last defeat came back on August 29 when they fell 28-24 in Saskatchewan, and they responded to that loss by embarking on a three-game surge.

The Argonauts beat Hamilton 37-22 on the road, before returning home to down Ottawa 26-23 and Edmonton 24-19.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers Struggling For Consistency

Winnipeg enter this game still trying to lock down a playoff place, having won just three of their last seven games to sit 7-6.

The Blue Bombers made a solid start to the season as they won four of their first six games, only for the wheels to come off briefly in late July as they lost back-to-back games.

They snapped that skid with a 33-21 win over Ottawa, only to then lose 22-19 in Edmonton the following week.

Winnipeg answered that defeat with a 44-28 victory over Montreal at home, but they again failed to follow up a win as they lost 32-26 in overtime in Saskatchewan.

The Blue Bombers did bounce back last week though, as they avenged that loss to the Roughriders with a 19-6 victory at home.

Winnipeg took the previous meeting this season, but the absence of Collaros and their inconsistent form is a concern.
