The Gabriels began pre-season with a 1-0 away win against Hebar. A 2-0 defeat at Botev Plovdiv followed.

Mislav Karoglan's side fell to a heavy 4-0 loss against Sileks on Thursday. FC Ballkani were 3-0 down at half time and conceded a late fourth.
