Necaxa vs Juarez Predictions & Tips - BTTS Backed in Liga MX Clash

Necaxa and Juarez clash in Liga MX at Estadio Victoria as both teams seek to reverse poor defensive records. Recent form shows that clean sheets are rare: Necaxa have conceded in their last 16, Juarez in 32 of their last 33. In their 13 meetings since 2020, Necaxa are unbeaten in the last eight. Still, both sides are winless in recent matches, with Necaxa last winning in August and Juarez losing 11 of 13 league games. The article’s key recommendation is Both Teams To Score (BTTS) as the best bet.

Necaxa vs Juarez Predictions

Necaxa and Juarez meet at the Estadio Victoria with both sides desperate to improve their Liga MX fortunes.

Neither defence has offered much resistance this season, and recent meetings suggest goals are likely.

BTTS is my best bet in Aguascalientes.

Defensive Problems Point to BTTS

  • Necaxa conceded 1+ goals in their last 16 matches
  • Necaxa have seen BTTS in 9 of their last 12 matches
  • Necaxa have seen BTTS in 6 of their last 7 matches against Juarez
  • Juarez conceded 1+ goals in 32 of their last 33 matches (competitive fixtures)
  • Juarez have seen BTTS in 18 of their last 25 matches (domestic fixtures)

Necaxa Unbeaten in Last Eight Meetings

Necaxa and Juarez have met 13 times in competitive action since 2020. Necaxa won five of those encounters, while Juarez claimed three victories. Five matches finished level.

Necaxa secured a 2-1 win in their most recent encounter earlier this year.

Necaxa Remain Winless Since August

Necaxa come into this weekend’s Liga MX contest after a narrow 1-0 defeat at Guadalajara on Tuesday evening.

Agustin Oliveros's 77th-minute own goal settled a hard-fought fixture at Estadio Akron.

Necaxa had 11 shots to Guadalajara's ten, but both sides struggled to create clear-cut chances. Final xG totals of 0.69 and 0.53 in the hosts' favour reflected the tight nature of the contest.

The Rayos had opportunities to level the contest, but Raul Rangel kept the visitors out as Chivas claimed their first league win in more than a month.

Juan Reynoso's side have now lost five of their last six league matches, with a 3-3 draw at Pachuca their only positive result in that run. Over a longer period, Necaxa failed to win any of their last ten games, while they have secured just one win in 14 fixtures since August.

The hosts have been particularly vulnerable at the back, conceding 26 goals in 13 Apertura matches this season.

Necaxa remain 17th in the 18-team league, five points above Saturday’s opponents.

Juarez Struggles Continue

Juarez travel to Aguascalientes after a frustrating 1-0 home defeat against Atlante on Tuesday.

Nico Carrera’s second-half header condemned the Bravos to their 11th defeat in 13 league fixtures.

Juarez dominated the ball (61%) but struggled to turn their advantage into clear-cut opportunities. They registered just seven shots to Atlante's ten and finished with a lower xG total of 0.38 compared to the visitors' 0.75.

That setback followed a heavy 5-0 defeat at Cruz Azul last weekend. The Bravos have now failed to win in four matches since a surprise 2-0 home victory against Tigres in September.

A dismal start to the Apertura campaign has seen Juarez pick up just four points from 13 fixtures.
Gustavo Lema’s side have kept only one clean sheet in the Apertura and are already out of contention for a place in the Liguilla.

Away from home, Los Bravos have been particularly poor this season. Juarez lost all six league fixtures on the road, conceding 20 goals.

Necaxa vs Juarez Team News

Necaxa: (5-4-1) Javier Orantes; Emilio Martinez, Kaiky Naves, Diego Ochoa, Agustin Oliveros, Mauro Zaleta; Owen Gonzalez, Danny Leyva, Lorenzo Faravelli, Javier Ruiz; Julian Carranza.

Necaxa boss Reynoso is expected to make one or two changes to his selection this weekend.

Julian Carranza is tipped to return to the starting lineup after the striker came off the bench against Guadalajara.

Owen Gonzalez is also in contention to earn a first-team recall.

Alexis Pena is the only confirmed injury absentee, with the defender still sidelined with an abdominal problem.

Juarez: (4-2-3-1) Sebastian Jurado; Denzell Garcia, Jesus Murillo, Gilberto Sepulveda, Daniel Pina; Leonardo Rodriguez, Rodrigo Dourado; Madson, Ricardinho, Jose Luis Rodriguez; Oscar Estupinan.

Juarez boss Lema is likely to make some changes to his first XI this weekend. Jose Luis Rodriguez is in contention to return after appearing from the bench against Atlante.

Jairo Torres, Ettson Ayon and Bryan Romero require late fitness tests to determine their availability on Saturday.

Long-term absentee Lucas Romero remains sidelined with a cruciate ligament injury.

Verdict

Clean sheets have been elusive for both teams in 2026, while past encounters between these sides also point to a likely high-scoring contest.

BTTS is my best bet at Estadio Victoria.
