Texas A&M Fell To 2-1 Last Weekend

Texas A&M head out on the road for the first time this season, looking to rebound from the defeat that dropped them to 2-1.

The Aggies kicked off the campaign with a 50-0 shutout win against overmatched Missouri State, but they have underwhelmed in their last couple of outings.

Their 48-20 win over Arizona State was much closer than the score suggests – they needed 24 fourth quarter points, including two pick sixes, to finally see off the Sun Devils.

Texas A&M then suffered an embarrassing home defeat last weekend, as they were beaten at home by unranked Kentucky.

The Aggies trailed by 21 points heading into the fourth quarter, and although they added a couple of touchdowns in the final period, it did not prevent the embarrassment of a 31-21 defeat.

LSU Suffered First Defeat In Mississippi

LSU also enter this matchup looking to rebound from their first defeat of the season – a heated loss at Ole Miss.

The Tigers – under new head coach Lane Kiffin – made a red-hot start to the season as they blew out Clemson at home on opening night, winning 51-10.

They followed that up a week later with another one-sided win, blowing out Louisiana Tech 45-14.

That set LSU up for Kiffin’s return to Ole Miss last weekend, but it was not a successful return for the former Rebels head coach.

The Tigers went into half-time down 17 points, and a third-quarter rally proved to be in vain as they were beaten 32-24.

Texas A&M @ LSU

LSU will be licking their wounds after last week’s loss, but Texas A&M appear to be there for the taking.

The Aggies have not played well in weeks and their defense just got lit up by Kentucky – that makes this the ideal ‘get right’ game for Sam Leavitt and the Tigers.
