The card is headlined by the long-awaited return of Conor McGregor, who is taking on Max Holloway in a rematch from their August 2013 bout, which ‘The Notorious’ won by decision.

The Irishman went on to win world titles at two different weights and become the biggest star in MMA, but his UFC career suffered a major downturn and in his last fight – in 2021 – he suffered his third defeat in four outings.

McGregor has not won a bout since January 2020, and he will look to change all that against Holloway, who rebounded from that loss to the Irishman by embarking on a run that took him all the way to UFC featherweight gold.

He remains a top contender in the lighter weights despite being in the twilight of his career, and he does boast a recent win over newly-crowned lightweight champion Justin Gaethje.

But can Holloway now ruin McGregor’s return and avenge his loss from over a decade ago?
