Hull City have proven difficult to beat at home, while Brentford are currently on a streak of drawing away matches. Hull vs Brentford Preview

Hull and Brentford have drawn a lot of Premier League matches this season. Stick with another stalemate on Humberside.

Key Stats - Loads of Draws

  • Hull have drawn their last 2 home games.
  • Hull are unbeaten in 4 of their last 5 home matches against Brentford.
  • Brentford have drawn 4 consecutive Premier League away games.

H2H

Hull have a 30-20 advantage against Brentford, alongside 13 draws.

Hull Tough to Beat at Home

Newly promoted Hull have shown their strength in the Premier League this season. Sergej Jakirovic’s team are unbeaten in five league games and have avoided defeat in three home matches.

The Humberside outfit have extended their unbeaten run at the MKM Stadium to 10 matches recently. The Tigers stunned Man United with a 2-0 home win before consecutive home draws against Aston Villa 0-0 and Everton 2-2.

Hull fell to their second loss of the campaign on Saturday and were beaten 2-0 at Fulham. Jakirovic’s outfit had 33% possession and conceded after 33 minutes.

Brentford Draw Most EPL Matches

Brentford are in decent long-term form, losing just one of their previous 13 in all competitions. The Bees have drawn six of their nine league matches in that period.

Keith Andrews’ side have had a league-high of four draws in the 2026/27 Premier League. Three of those stalemates came away at Leeds 1-1, Bournemouth 2-2 and Aston Villa 2-2.

The London side lost for the first time since May last time out following a 2-1 home defeat to Liverpool. Keane Lewis-Potter scored first before Brentford allowed 1.64 XG and conceded twice in the final 30 minutes.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Hull (5-4-1): Konstantinos Tzolakis; Lewie Coyle, Semi Ajayi, John Egan, Lucas Herrington, Ryan Giles; Mohammed Belloumi, Matt Crooks, Regan Slater, Sorba Thomas; Oli McBurnie

Goalkeeper Jack Butland and defenders Charlie Hugues and Matt Targett are injured. Midfield pair Gyabi Darko and Elliot Matazo and forward Ilyas Ansah are also ruled out.

Striker Robinio Vaz and defender Nobel Mendy are injury doubts. Sergej Jakirovic was unsure about Vaz’s fitness after the Fulham game and said his injury “looks like a bad one.”

Brentford (4-2-3-1): Caoimhin Kelleher; Michael Kayode, Sepp van den Berg, Kristoffer Ajer, Keane Lewis-Potter; Mamadou Sangare, Mathias Jensen; Dango Ouattara, Mikkel Damsgaard, Jaidon Anthony; Igor Thiago

Midfield duo Yehor Yarmolyuk and Vitaly Janelt are suspended. Defender Josh Dasilva and striker Kaye Furo are also ruled out due to injury.

Verdict

Hull don’t lose many home games and Brentford are on a long drawing streak on the road. There’s value on another Premier League deadlock here.
