H2H - Arsenal on Top

Arsenal Keep Things Tight in Defence

Arsenal have conceded just five goals in seven Premier League games this season. They have allowed just 5.6 XG this season, the best record in the division.

Mikel Arteta’s side have won all four home games in 2026/27, conceding just two goals. Arsenal beat Coventry 3-0, Chelsea and Leeds 2-1 and Lille 3-0.

The north Londoners also beat Nottingham Forest 1-0 away on Sunday. The Gunners had 1.14-0.9 XG and Noni Madueke scored in the 80th minute.

Arteta’s outfit played out a 2-2 away draw at Bayern Munich in the Champions League. Eberechi Eze and Declan Rice scored and Arsenal had 14 shots.

Everton Lack Attacking Quality

David Moyes’ Everton have struggled for momentum in 2026/27 and are winless in five of their previous six.

The Toffees have failed to score in two of their last four league matches. Everton drew 0-0 at Tottenham, beat Ipswich 1-0 at home and held Hull to a 2-2 away draw.

The Merseysiders then lost 2-0 against Chelsea at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. Moyes’ side had 0.43 XG, six shots and conceded two goals in the second period.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Arsenal (4-2-3-1): David Raya; Ben White, Ezri Konsa, Gabriel, Riccardo Calafiori; Declan Rice, Myles Lewis-Skelly; Eberechi Eze, Martin Odegaard, Noni Madueke; Kai Havertz

Defender Piero Hincapie and attacker Christos Tzolis are injury doubts. Centre-back William Saliba is unavailable with a back problem.

Bukayo Saka was subbed off due to injury during the Bayern Munich match. Mikel Arteta was cautious about the attacker’s condition post-match and said:

"They are a bit concerned. A player that has to come off with a really sharp pain is never good news but we have to wait and see."

Everton (4-2-3-1): Jordan Pickford; Ainsley Maitland-Niles, James Tarkowski, Jarrad Branthwaite, Vitali Mykolenko; Harrison Armstrong, James Garner; Merlin Rohl, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Jack Grealish; Thierno Barry

Everton have no injuries or suspensions. Thierno Barry is expected to lead the line after scoring six of the Toffees’ 13 goals in all competitions.

Verdict

Arsenal know how to win games and restrict opponents at the Emirates. Everton struggle for goals in the Premier League and the Gunners can secure a home win to nil.
