B8 With High Expectations

As the highest-rated Counter-Strike 2 team of the tournament, B8 head to Poland as the team to beat.

This comes as no surprise, as B8 have, unlike most other squads in attendance, spent a good portion of the season competing in big events, where they got to practice against much stronger teams.

While any notable success was hard to come by for B8, they had reached the semifinals of RES Showdown Europe Fall in July before reaching the playoffs of the Esports World Cup with wins against PARIVISION and Team Vitality.

Metizport are the lowest-rated teams of the tournament, ranked no.68 in the world and no.61 in VRS. Considering they’ve not won any big events nor have featured in A- or S-Tier tournaments this season, it is fair to say that Metizport haven’t proven much.

Metizport are in good form, having won seven of their last 10 games. But all that means very little, considering they’ve had to face mostly weaker teams, suggesting Metizport are not well-equipped to deal with B8.

B8 have spent the last few months competing in bigger events, and while they’ve not been hugely successful, the fact that they got to play stronger teams makes them better prepared for what is to come at Logitech G Play Connect, which will feature a much softer field than what B8 are used to.
